I am very interested in the Music Therapy program at FSU, and my instrument is my voice. I was going to attend the Oct. 13 audition, but I found out about the whole department and the audition not even two weeks ago. I just don't feel ready to go yet. I will audition in January.

Anyway, are there any Music Therapy majors out there? I have been a Musical Theater major at my current college for 2 years, and I realize I do not want to be an actress. My school does not offer Music Therapy so I am transferring. My background is mostly musical theater with a few folk/art songs and maybe two Italian pieces that I've studied in my private lessons. Therefore, I am feeling seriously uneasy about a full out classical audition, which I've never done before.

Although, this is non-performance degree. I feel like maybe it won't be as much of a problem since I'm not trying to be a professional singer but a therapist.

Please share insight, experiences, advice...anything! Thanks. (I'm so glad this group exists!)
